Vendor Information Sheet
Thank you for your interest in renting space with us! Outlined below is general information about our store. We recommend you bring in examples or photographs showing your items/crafts/antiques so we can put you on the waiting list by category and style.
Hours:
Monday through Saturday 10-5 & Sundays 12-4. During summer we stay open until 8pm on Thursdays.
January-February we are closed Sundays & Mondays.
Additional hours are added during the Holiday Season and for various promotions such as Canal Days and Open Houses.
Cost:
Monthly rent varies per size and location of the booth. Booths range $40-$250.
Workdays:
Vendors work 2 days per month for booths priced over $65 per month or 1 ½ days for booths priced $65 or less.
Also, there are additional requirements for each vendor during larger promotions.
Wholesale lines:
Requests to carry wholesale items must be submitted in writing: no product can be brought into the store without prior approval of the line.
We strive for little duplication and our customers love the variety!
Checks:
Vendors are paid every 2 week. Main Street Mercantile collects sales tax, which is paid quarterly.
However, you can have your sales tax returned to you for filing on your own if you prefer.
Lease:
We ask you to sign a 6 month lease which runs from November 1st through April 30th, and May 1st through October 31st.
Fees:
A credit card processing fee of 4% is passed on to the vendor for merchandise paid for with Visa, MC, Discover and Amex.
There are no commission fees.
